Production Details
Disclosed production notes from Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Co. -- structured, sourced facts, not a tasting review.
- Water Source
- Not applicable; Orphan Barrel does not operate its own production distillery.
- Cooperage
- Not applicable; each release retains the cooperage of its own undisclosed originating distillery.
- Warehouse Notes
- Organized by Diageo in 2013 and publicly launched February 11, 2014 as a venture to locate and release rare, long-forgotten barrels of fully-aged whiskey discovered in warehouses in the United States and abroad, headquartered and bottled in Tullahoma, TN. Every release in this catalog is attributed to Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Co. itself, not to the individual, often-undisclosed distillery that originally produced the whiskey inside the bottle, matching this catalog's own US-distillery-only policy.
