These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of caskstrengthdaily.com (“the site”), operated by Cask Strength Daily (“we,” “us”). By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.

Age requirement

• This site contains content about, and discussion of, alcoholic beverages. You must be 21 years of age or older (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use it.
• The age gate on the site is a self-attestation checkpoint, not a legal age verification service , see our Privacy Policy for how it works. By confirming your age, you are representing to us that the information is true.
• Nothing on this site is intended to encourage excessive or irresponsible drinking. Please drink responsibly.

Accounts

• You may create an account by signing in with Google or via an email link. You’re responsible for keeping access to your account (your Google account, or your email inbox for a magic link) secure , we have no way to verify who is actually signing in beyond that.
• There is no password to reset. If you lose access to the Google account or email inbox tied to your account, we have no way to restore it , you’d need to create a new one.
• You must provide a real, working email address. One account per person.
• You can delete your account and download a copy of the data tied to it at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us (see Contact, below).
• We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used to violate these Terms, abuse the site (including the login system itself), or engage in unlawful activity.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract content from the site other than through a search engine's ordinary indexing;
• Attempt to bypass the age gate, authentication system, or any other access control on the site;
• Use the site to violate any applicable law, including alcohol advertising, sale, or shipping laws in your jurisdiction;
• Interfere with or disrupt the site's operation, including via automated requests at a volume that degrades the service for others;
• Misrepresent your identity or age, or create accounts for the purpose of abuse or fraud;
• Use the site's content to imply our endorsement of a third party's product, service, or claim without our written permission.

Content and intellectual property

• Original content on the site , articles, guides, glossary entries, and similar editorial material we’ve written , belongs to Cask Strength Daily. You may link to it and quote brief excerpts with attribution; you may not republish it wholesale without our permission.
• Distillery names, brand names, product names, and label images referenced or displayed on the site (including TTB label filings, which are public records) belong to their respective owners. We reference them for identification and informational purposes only , nothing on this site implies sponsorship or endorsement by those brands unless stated otherwise.
• News content is paraphrased from, and links back to, the original reporting source. We don’t claim ownership of the underlying facts or events being reported.

Your content

Features like the Guided Tasting Experience save notes you enter (tasting descriptors, personal ratings, and similar) locally in your browser or, if signed in, tied to your account. This is your own personal record , we don’t review, moderate, edit, or publish it, and it’s never presented as an editorial review or endorsement by Cask Strength Daily. You’re responsible for what you enter; don’t submit anything unlawful, defamatory, or that you don’t have the right to enter.

Third-party sites

• The site links out to third-party sites (for example, distillery websites, the TTB, or social media accounts) for reference. We don’t sell, ship, or handle payment for any product, and we do not earn a commission on any link on this site.
• We aren’t responsible for the availability, accuracy, legality, or content of any third-party site we link to, or for that site’s own terms, privacy practices, or security.

No professional advice

Content on this site , including tasting guides, production explainers, and proof/dilution calculations , is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not medical, legal, or professional advice of any kind. The proof/dilution calculator in particular provides an estimate, not an exact result (see the caveat on that page) , don’t rely on it for anything where precision matters legally or safety-wise.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site, and everything on it, is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any information on it , including distillery data, TTB label records, mash bill information, or news content , is complete, accurate, or up to date. Some of this content is sourced from public records or third-party reporting and republished with reasonable but not perfect accuracy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cask Strength Daily and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including damages resulting from a purchase made on a third-party site we link to, reliance on any content on the site, or any interruption or error in the site’s operation. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount (if any) you’ve paid us directly in the twelve months before the claim , which, since the site charges nothing directly, will typically be $50.
