Cask Strength Daily (“we,” “us,” “the site”) operates caskstrengthdaily.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Age verification

• The site presents an age gate before granting access to the site.
• We do not collect, store, or verify any identity documents. The gate is a self-attestation checkpoint, not a legal age verification service.
• Confirming you are 21+ sets a cookie in your browser that expires after 24 hours, so you are not re-prompted on every page load during that window. Nothing about your answer is sent to us or logged anywhere , the cookie lives only in your browser.

Information we collect

Site analytics

• We use Cloudflare Analytics Engine to track anonymous, aggregate product interactions on the site — which page, and when.
• This data is aggregated and is not tied to a personal identity.
• We do not use Google Analytics, third-party ad trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels.

Browser-local features

A few features on the site , the Guided Tasting Experience, Start Here progress, and Learning Path progress , save your progress using your browser’s local storage. This data (your tasting notes, which steps you’ve completed, and similar) stays on your device only. It is never transmitted to us, never leaves your browser, and isn’t tied to an account, since the site doesn’t have accounts yet. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

Cookies

• We do not set advertising or tracking cookies.
• The only cookie we set is the age-gate confirmation described above, which expires after 24 hours and is never sent to our servers for any purpose beyond that check.

How we use your data

• Analytics data: understanding which content performs well, in aggregate.

Data sharing

• We do not sell personal data.
• Email subscriptions collected before the newsletter signup was removed are still held by our former email service provider (Beehiiv) under their own security and privacy terms: beehiiv.com/privacy.
• Product analytics stay within Cloudflare’s infrastructure.

Data retention

• Aggregated analytics are retained for internal reporting; no individual browsing profiles are built or stored.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for adults of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
